Karen & I went to the State Fair last Saturday. Not much changes from year-to-year, but it's still fun to eat junk food, drink overpriced beer, and watch people.

So today was my first day at my new job. After 10 years working for an industrial supply distributor, I am now in the "visual communication" industry. By that, I mean I work for a company that produces & sells the types of products you might see at trade shows (table throws, tents, literature racks, banners, flags, director's chairs, etc.). But this is only one segment of their product mix. Since today was my orientation day, I spent the majority of the day (along with the rest of the week) meeting the team and touring their operations, I'm just scratching the surface at this point.

At any rate, I really like the company and hope to be there for a long time.

It's Sunday, August 24th at 11:00pm, and we are officially launching our new blog. For now, this is all I have to say, but I would imagine I will have plenty to add tomorrow when I begin my new job.
