Happy New Year
We started out 2009 by taking a snowmobile ride from our house to Rum River State Forest.

We came across a recently-built shelter in the Rum River State Forest. It had all the amenities: fireplace & firewood, condiments, instant coffee and coffee pot, board games and coloring books for the kids, and even a few pans of Jiffy Pop. Pretty darn cool.

I uploaded the GPS tracks from our ride onto Google Earth. Total distance = 132 miles; Counties traversed (in chronological order): Sherburne, Benton, Morrison, Mille Lacs, Kanebec, Isanti
